Our school
We come from “I. L. Caragiale” National College , one of the most prestigious schools in the country. Our school is more than just a phenomenal educational institution with the role of educating future generations, it also is a cultural centre with rich history. The school was built in 1864 and was named after one of the greatest writers and dramatists in the history of Romania. Currently, the school has over 1800 students aspiring to become the best at the subjects they enjoy.
Based on the results from the last few decades, we are one of the best schools in Romania at competitive programming. In 2015, our school founded the Prahova County Centre of Excellence, a place for students with a burning passion for a certain subject. The Centre also started hosting an international competitive programming contest for juniors named InfO(1)Cup. In 2024, the 8th edition of the contest took place and 140 people from 13 countries participated in the two days of competition.
